Some tips from Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience 2008

Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience 2008 is a driving course which was specifically designed to introduce the participants to safety driving skills and accident avoidable. This is done using the best teaching method, with hands-on experience. Some valuable tips:

1) Seating position – Has to be upright and straight. The distance from the pedal should be such that even when any of the pedals is fully depressed, your leg is not straight and should still be in a bent position. The stering wheel’s tilt and distance need to be adjusted to ensure the instrument cluster can be clearly seen through the opening in the steering wheel. To determine the proper distance of stering wheel and yourself, you should stretch out your arm and rest your wrist on the top of the steering, whereby your arm should be slightly bent. During driving, make sure you are gripping the sterring wheel at 3 and 9 o’clock positions, with your arms bented 90 degrees at your elbow.

2) Handling – Try to be as charm as possible, do not be ‘irated’. Always focus on the space ahead. Modulate the throttle and steering input, making sure smoother movement become more evident. It the car seemed to be going to fast, ease the throttle and use stering input to control the car.

The Mercedes-Benz Driving Experience 2008 will be having its next r0und in July.
