Not even a week after MY E.G. Services Bhd launched its online road tax renewal services, things already started to be hot. Car dealers have gave their negative comment in regards of Government decision in allowing road tax renewal being done through online, saying that the fee charged for this service is unrealistic & much too expensive which will not benefit users.

Kuala Lumpur & Selangor Car Dealers and Credit Companies Association giving their opinion about this new online service which will reduce bank’s interest over car matters. The Association president gave his comment, by give away authority to renew road tax online, it will in a way took some part of association members income & claiming that interest of finance companies will not be taken care of. He also added that eventhough it seems convenient, but the service is actually expensive.

MY E.G. Services Bhd offers a road tax renewal at a fee of RM2.75, with a choice of additional RM6.00 for the road tax to be delivered to applicant’s home. As additional alternative, the company offers a road tax renewal kiosks which will be located at banks all around Malaysia.

It is indeed a new revolution towards road tax renewal system but at the same time it will give a huge disadvantage to the third party who have worked hard in helping people to get their road tax.
