I was driving yesterday when I overheard a news by one of the local radio station saying that JPJ will install Auto Speed Trap Cameras along PLUS Highway. The camera will work by itself which will ’snap’ vehicles which speed over the limit imposed. This is to replace the existing ‘manually man power speed trap’ which involved a policeman behind a camera.

I am not sure whether I have heard it correctly, but in case if this is true, for sure the numbers of summon issued will increase. Moreover, we will experience a new dimension of drivers, speeding in highways at the limit allowed, unless they are generous enough to donate their money paying all their summons.

I tried to find other sources relating to this news, but have failed to achieve any. Maybe the news is just a rumor or one thing that have yet to be discussed. Whatever the scenario is, the drivers should practise  extra care when driving & follow the rules & regulation especially relating to speeding.
